“As a lifelong musician I have been writing my own music for some time. Over the last few years, I've had a real burn to express my music vocally, to use my voice as an instrument, but unfortunately, as I explained to Sylwia, I had a TERRIBLE voice! I was painfully shy about singing in front of my musical peers and for twenty years in bands had never been able to sing any parts due to finding my voice so unpredictable.

Sylwia, is a Powerhouse of a human. When I said I wanted to find my voice, in order to sing metal vocals, her energy was SO enthusiastic and supportive. She picked it up and ran with it, but made sure I was comfortable and yet challenged at every step of the way, I have NEVER sang in front of anyone except my newborn (!) and yet, Sylwia made me feel so comfortable and empowered, within a couple of lessons, I forgot my nerves and was belting out without restraint.

Sylwia has helped me find where my voice sits,and has shown me how to expand and grow it and learn to trust it and myself vocally. I am now so comfortable singing in my range now that I've formed my dream band; "Daughters of the Flaming Sword" where I co-write and co-sing in front of the group, at last! On a personal level, the diaphragmatic exercises have physically calmed anxiety symptoms and I find that my voice confidence is integrating subtly to all aspects of my life, which is life changing for me. Singing with Sylwia has been an unexpected therapy, and I am forever grateful to Sylwia for her expert teaching, knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to take students where they are at, and showing them what they are capable of. “
